This review will look deeply into the Uwell Caliburn G2 Pod vape kit, the second pod kit released in the Caliburn series after the original Caliburn G and after the original Caliburn. You will see our opinions regarding appearance, functionality, performance, price and overall vaping experience.

What can you expect from the Caliburn G2?

The Caliburn G2 is a vape kit which uses an interchangeable pod system, similar to the original Caliburn. Both feature a 2ml refillable tank and a similar body.

They are both capable of (mouth to lung) MTL vaping and can either use draw or button activation. Still, the G2 has many new features, such as replaceable coils, a progressive airflow adjustment and a vibration mechanism that provides haptic feedback.

Appearance

Like the original Caliburn G, the Caliburn G2 is an aluminium alloy slimline device with a net weight of just 36g, making it pocket-friendly.

The key visual differences between the Caliburn G2 and its predecessor are the tank viewing windows on the front and back of the device, allowing you to see through to the level of E-liquid you have left. Another difference is the pod; it now features a more comfortable mouthpiece and an adjustable airflow controlled by a wheel on the bottom of the device.

There are several colours available, creating a device which is sleek and as bold as you would like to make a kit that appeals to all vapers.

The Caliburn G2 pod is just as easy to understand and is extremely simple to change; all you need is to take the entire pod out, dispose of the old one, grab a replacement pod, fill it with your e-juice, and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes then insert it again.

UWELL Caliburn G2 Coils - 0.8 ohm and 1.2 ohm

The Caliburn G coil you use depends on how you want your vaping experience; if you're looking for a vaping experience similar to smoking cigarettes, using the 1.2Ω coil will work great alongside your E-liquid to create a good throat hit and adequate nicotine fulfilment.

We recommend using a Nic Salt E-liquid (50VG 50PG)

If you are looking for sub-ohm coils, the 0.8 Ω low resistance coil is great; paired with the device's wattage, this creates the ability to produce more enormous clouds and a great flavour, allowing you to vape directly to lung.

We recommend using a freebase nicotine E-liquid (70VG 30PG)

Removing and replacing the coil is also very easy; you pull out the old coil and insert the new coil, your device will recognise the coil, and you'll be ready to go.

Performance

The performance of the Caliburn G2 vape kit is up there with the best when it comes up against other pod systems. It is more than a run-of-the-mill vape, allowing you more control over your preferences.

As this device uses a USB-C charging system, you can expect a quick charging time, with the 750 mAh battery allowing you to have a battery life which should last you all day.

The Caliburn G2 provides an easily refillable and changeable 2ml pod, providing a mouth kit adapted for extra comfort.

The device is fitted with an LED light system, providing you with different information using lights instead of a screen, making the device much heavier. The vape is also fitted with a haptic back, which means the device vibrates in reaction to your touch.

The 18w output allows you to see a range of coil resistance to adjust your style of vaping from mouth to lung; it is excellent for high flavour production, less of a cloud and perfect for those who have quit smoking. To direct to the lung is excellent for those looking for a sub-ohm experience and more extensive cloud production.

To finish the Uwell Caliliburn G2 review, we want to tell you about our overall vaping experience.

If you are looking for a lightweight, easy-to-use device with some control, this kit is for you.

The Uwell Calilburn G2 is one of the best pod kit devices available. It is one step up from the already well-received Caliburn G pod kit, providing many more options and allowing you to customise the device to create the exact type of experience you want.

It's essential to bear in mind that this is a pen-style pod kit, so it cannot be compared to the sub-ohm mod kits, but for what it is, it is fantastic!

The only downside we encountered was a leaking issue with the pods, which can be minimised with correct storage.

Another issue that can be solved by correct storage is accidental firing, as there is no way of deactivating the button, so be wary when carrying it in your pocket or bag.
