How Long Do Aspire PockeX Coils Last?

How Long Do Aspire PockeX Coils Last?

When using the Aspire Pockex kit, we found that the 0.6 Ohm Pockex coil lasted for a week of usage time before needing to be replaced as the other coils, such as the 1.2 Pockex coil, Nautilus X coils, and Nautilus XS coils lasted slightly longer.

Aspire Pockex Coils

The Aspire Pockex vape pen currently has two different coils that can fit in the Pockex to suit different vaping styles; Mouth-to-lung (MTL) and direct-to-lung (DTL). The two PockeX coils are:

  • 1.2 Ohm Pockex Coil: The 1.2 Ohm Aspire Pockex coil is an ideal coil for anyone who vapes in a mouth-to-lung (MTL) style of vaping and would like to experience a stronger throat hit from the nicotine in their juices as well as being able to experience a decent amount of flavour from the e-liquid. It is recommended that these coils be used with juices with a VG/PG content of 50/50, such as nic salts or any other freebase e-liquids that do not contain a VG percentage higher than 50%.

  • 0.6 Ohm Pockex Coil: The 0.6 Ohm Aspire Pockex coil is perfect for anyone who prefers the direct-to-lung (DTL) style of vaping and would like to experience a much looser, smoother inhale when vaping, which results in larger clouds of vapour production and also allowing the user to experience high levels of flavour from their e-liquids.

Alternative Coils

The Aspire Pockex kit has been cleverly designed to fit the entire Pockex coil range and the Aspire Nautilus X and Nautilus XS coil range to widen the available resistances to use in the Pockex device.

  • 1.8 Ohm Nautilus X Coil: The 1.8 Ohm Nautilus X coil is ideal for anyone who has previously tried the 1.2 Ohm Pockex coil but finds it overwhelming sometimes. The 1.8 Ohm coil will produce slightly less vapour than the 1.2 Ohm coil but will allow the user to experience a harsher throat hit.

  • 1.5 Ohm Nautilus X Coil: The 1.5 Ohm Nautilus X coil is very similar to the 1.8 Ohm Nautilus X coil and the 1.2 Ohm Pockex coil but is a middle ground between the both as some users may not be satisfied with the other available coils.

  • 0.7 Ohm Nautilus XS coil: The 0.7 Ohm coil for the Nautilus XS tank is also compatible with the Pockex device and is very similar to the 0.6 Ohm Pockex coil, so this 0.7 Ohm Nautilus XS coil is an excellent alternative if you cannot get hold of the 0.6 Ohm Pockex coil.

Getting more life out of your Pockex coils

Although the average life of an Aspire Pockex coil is anywhere between 1 and 2 weeks of usage time, it is possible to try and make your coil last longer with some simple tips, the first tip being to make sure that you are not using a vape juice that is too thick or too thin for the chosen coil and the second tip is to make sure that you keep the tank topped up above the cotton holes that are visible on the coil to avoid getting burnt hits or potentially burning out.
