What Kind Of Oil Is Used In Vapes?

What Kind Of Oil Is Used In Vapes?

The so-called 'oil' used in vape juices/disposables is Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG) and sweeteners such as Sucralose and Ethyl Maltol.

Vegetable Glycerine (VG) produces the thick clouds you see when vaping.

Propylene Glycol (PG) is a clear liquid with a similar consistency to syrup, and it is odourless and colourless.

While both VG and PG are sometimes referred to as oil - they are not technically or chemically oils of any kind as they are water-soluble.

The sweeteners inside e-liquid, such as Sucralose and Ethyl Maltol, give the vape juice its flavourings.

All ingredients that make up e-liquid have been recognised as safe by the Food and Drug Administration. However, this only refers to when these ingredients are used or consumed as food. All products on the IndeJuice vape store are fully compliant with governmental regulations.

E-liquid with a higher Vegetable Glycerine (VG) ratio will usually be thicker than vape juice with a higher Propylene Glycol (PG) ratio due to the higher VG ratio e-liquids being used in larger and more powerful vape devices. E-Juice with a higher Propylene Glycol (PG) ratio is thinner e-liquids. They are mainly used in less powerful devices that give off a similar smoking sensation to a real cigarette.

What Oils Can You Vape?

The oils that you can vape are Vape juice oils, CBD oil and even THC oils. However, THC oils can only be used in a handful of countries where this substance is legal.

Vape juice oils which are made up of Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG) and sweeteners, are the most common oil that you will see used in vaping devices. These oils come in a vast variety of flavours covering everything from fruity flavours to dessert flavours and even tobacco and menthol based flavours.

CBD (Cannabidiol) oil is a type of medicinal oil that comes from Marijuana, an illegal plant in the UK. Marijuana has health benefits, but smoking involves a very intense head and body high that many users would not want to experience. So for the vapers that would like to reap the health benefits of Marijuana but whilst avoiding the high that comes with it. CBD oil is the ideal choice as this will help you with trying to relax, muscle pain, anxiety, depression and a lot more.

THC oil is a medicinal oil that can be used to help fight depression, anxiety, muscle pain, stress and even some cancers. THC oil is currently illegal for sale or consumption in the UK. Therefore, it will not be available to purchase, but in countries around the world, such as the USA, you will see THC oil being promoted and on sale for anyone who holds a valid medical pass to purchase this oil.

Is It Safe To Vape Essential Oils?

It is not safe to vape essential oils, as there is too much risk and not enough documented research has been carried out.

Essential oils are volatile organic compounds (VOC). When they are heated at a temperature of 150 degrees Fahrenheit, they can convert into abnormal compounds that can be very damaging to the teeth, mouth, lungs, and nose.

Whilst essential oils are used to be burnt in diffusers, the diffusers themselves do not heat the essential oil enough to become a dangerous substance.
