Does Vaping Make You Tired?

Does Vaping Make You Tired?

Does Vaping Make You Tired?

Vaping does not make you tired. Vaping nicotine-containing e-liquids should not make you feel tired due to the stimulation effects of nicotine on the body.

However, many users report feeling relaxed and chilled (different from tired) after vaping nicotine. But that feeling of chilled and relaxed can lead people to sleep.

It is a long established fact that nicotine e-liquid, similar to caffeine, stimulants a person's mind and body, causing them to feel more awake, alert and stimulated. However, some users report relaxation is probably because they have satisfied the nicotine craving their body desires. The sudden rush of the feel-good chemical dopamine will most likely make a person feel more relaxed, happy and ready for bed.

Does Vape Make You Sleepy?

No is the short answer. Over decades, scientific research has categorised nicotine as a stimulating chemical similar to caffeine. This chemical causes wakefulness and insomnia in people.

Vaping nicotine-containing e-liquids will most likely arouse a person's mind prolonging or delaying the sleepiness that their body is naturally feeling.

If a user likes the habitual sensation of vaping or smoking, one should consider vaping nicotine-free e-liquid prior to sleep. The absence of nicotine in e-liquid will stop the user from feeling alert and awake. The habitual craving of inhaling and exhaling vapour will trick the mind into the relaxation feeling they associate vaping or smoking with. This may well lead that person to feel sleepy.

Does Vaping Make You Tired In The Morning?

Although vaping does not directly affect how tired one is in the morning, it may undoubtedly impact the quality of sleep that person gets throughout the night, and as such, in the morning, may feel tired or adequately rested.

Nicotine withdrawal symptoms throughout the night can wake a person to get a nicotine fix that their body craves. However, the worst thing a person can do is reach for their vape in the middle of the night to satisfy their craving.

This is because nicotine is a stimulant and will make a person feel alert and more awake. The best thing you can do if you find yourself suffering from nicotine withdrawal at night is to try and go back to sleep.

Avoiding vaping or consuming nicotine a couple of hours before sleep is also a good idea. The stimulation effect of the nicotine on one's body usually wears off within 1 - 2 hours. Avoiding vaping in this window will give your body the best chance of a peaceful and full night's sleep.

Does Vaping Help You Sleep?

No. Vaping nicotine-containing e-liquid is probably the worst thing you can do before trying to vape. Nicotine provides a stimulation effect on one's body and mind causing them to feel alert and awake, not the best feelings as one is trying to sleep.

Should you wish to trick your mind into the calming and relaxing sensation you get from vaping, you should consider vaping nicotine-free e-liquid, which is becoming more and more common these days. This will trick your mind into feeling that you satisfy the craving by going through the same motions as you would when vaping, i.e. picking up your vaping, inhaling vapour, exhaling your troubles and problems.
