What Are The Two Types Of Vape Juice?

What Are The Two Types Of Vape Juice?

The two main types of vape juices available are those with a higher percentage of either Vegetable Glycerin (VG) or Propylene Glycol (PG). The main difference between these different types of juices is the viscosity of the juice and the nicotine strengths of both juices.

Vegetable Glycerin (VG).

Vape Juice that contains a majority of Vegetable Glycerin in the mix will be a much thicker liquid in comparison to juice with a higher percentage of Propylene Glycol and will only be available in lower nicotine strengths such as 3mg and 6mg as VG itself is not a great carrier of nicotine. VG is also not a great carrier of flavourings due to its thick viscosity, but VG provides a naturally sweet flavour. These juices with a higher VG percentage are usually used in the bigger mod-style devices that allow a user to choose a desired power and wattage that the coil heats the juice, this type of juice will typically produce a much thicker and dense cloud compared to PG juices. High VG e-liquid such as Kingston shortfill e-liquids will provide you with the perfect vape experience for a DTL vape.

Propylene Glycol (PG).

Vape juice with a higher percentage of Propylene Glycol will have a much thinner consistency than liquids with a higher Vegetable Glycerin percentage. As PG juices have a much thinner viscosity, it is easier for other substances, such as nicotine and flavour to concentrate on being mixed more efficiently, making PG a better carrier of nicotine and flavour. With this being said, you will find that higher PG vape juices will come in a wider range of nicotine strengths going from 3mg to strengths such as 20mg, which is the legal limit in the UK. The vapour produced from higher PG vape juice will be very natural, similar to a traditional cigarette.

Now that you know the difference between the two types of vape juice, it is essential to know what blend of VG/PG would be ideal for the user and how they vape. If you are after a liquid that will deliver strong nicotine hit on the throat whilst still delivering a great amount of flavour but only a reasonable amount of vapour, then juice with high PG would be perfect. If you are looking to produce a huge cloud of vapour whilst still experiencing amazing flavour without the harsh nicotine hit, then high VG would be perfect for this. If you are looking for something in between that delivers a thick cloud but would also like to enjoy the flavour and the nicotine hit, a 50/50 VG/PG blend would be ideal. If you're looking for a satisfying nicotine hit, check out Kingston 50/50 10mls to satisfy those cravings with maximum flavour.

What's The Difference Between E Juice And Salt?

There is not much that differs between standard e-juice and nicotine salt juice other than the fact that liquids containing nicotine salts have the extra addition of benzoic acid or citric acid.

It is common to find that most nicotine salt liquids come in a VG/PG mix of 50/50. Still, it is possible to get different blends, such as 60/40 and 70/30, etc. This is different from standard vape juices, as they can be found in numerous different VG/PG blends depending on whether the user is after more of a nicotine hit on their throat or they aim to produce a thick and flavourful cloud of vapour.

Another main difference between e-juice and salt is the nicotine strength in both products. You will generally find that standard e-liquids can be found in strengths of 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. These standard juices deliver a satisfying throat hit similar to traditional cigarettes as nicotine salts, on the other hand, are typically found in strengths of 0mg, 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. Nicotine salts contain benzoic acid or citric acid, which helps the nicotine enter the bloodstream quicker and seems to be much more effective for someone trying to quit or reduce their nicotine intake.

What's The Difference Between Liquid And Vape Juice?

The simple answer to this is there is no difference. You will find that vape juice can be called several different names, such as Vape Juice, E-Juice, E-Liquid and Vape Liquid.

As the juice used in vaping has numerous different names, there is no correct term for this as they all make sense and all technically mean the same thing, so there is no difference between liquid and vape juice.
