Elf Bar is the most talked about brand in the vaping industry right now. They took over the market with their gorgeous and innovative disposable vapes. The Elfbar 600, T600, NC600 and many more have taken the disposable vapes market by storm. With the most extensive range of high-quality flavours on offer, they have a flavour for everyone.

Elf Bar then came out with pre-filled pods such as the ELFA Pod Kit and Elf Bar Mate 500, which also use the Elf Bar disposable flavours on offer. Now Elf Bar has entered the hardware space and has introduced its first refillable pod system, the refillable Elf Bar FB1000 vape kit.

This Elf Bar FB1000 review provides an extensive look at Elf Bars' most recent open pod system from one of the world's most popular brands. The FB1000 is the latest product in the family of Elf Bar, and we will see whether Elf Bar has stuck to the craftsmanship and innovative techniques that made their previous prefilled and disposable vapes a success.

The Elf Bar FB1000 is a small pocket-sized pod vape kit. Not much lighter than the Elf Bar disposables we are used to seeing.

Battery And Body Of the Elf Bar FB1000

This refillable kit can comfortably easily fit in the palm of your hand; however, as the battery is double the size of a disposable, the body of the FB1000 is a little chunkier and may cause a bulge if you place it in your trouser pockets.

The Elf Bar FB1000 is made from plastic and doesn't exactly look like a premium product like other styles of pod kits on the market. As plastic is used, the device is lightweight and contains grooves on the back of the device, providing a solid grip when vaping.

The FB1000 is available in 4 colours; Dark Blue, Forest Green, Illusion Purple and Sunset Yellow. Although all the devices are black, the colour schemes created are a small rectangular sheet, which sits behind the clear plastic panel at the front.

The front of the FB1000 has a fire button. This allows for manual vaping. What's great about the ElfBar FB1000 is that it's also auto inhale activated. The LED battery light indicator sits under the fire button.

There are 4 LED colours that can flash on your FB1000 pod kit (White, Red, Green and Blue).

• Medium Charge - Blue
• Low Charge - Red

Whilst vaping, the LED light will currently display the battery's strength. The LED light will flash when you connect the replaceable FB1000 pod to the device.

The device can be locked and unlocked by pressing the fire button five times, making it safe to travel with. The LED will flash white on both locking and unlocking.

The device will flash red if you have incorrectly inserted the coil or if the wrong coil has been inserted.

The Elf Bar FB1000 has a silicone ring around the top part of the device, allowing a lanyard to be clipped onto it. The Lanyard comes free inside the box on purchase.

The FB1000 pod kit 1000mAh has a rechargeable battery. This can be charged using a USB-Type C, which can provide a full charge within 2 hours. The USB-C port sits at the base of the device; it is slightly recessed, which allows the vape to stand vertically.

The Pod of the FB1000 is 2ml, with a similar look to the Voopoo PnP pods on the market. This pod allows for 'push and pull' coils, which will enable you to take out and insert coils easily, resulting in hassle-free coil changes.

The pod is suited as an MTL vape but can also be used as a restricted DL vape for a

 tight draw. The kit's mouthpiece is incorporated into the pod.

E-liquid is filled at the bottom of the 2ml pod. Gently pull back the silicone stopper from where it is marked and fill it with your favourite e-liquid. Be careful not to overfill as the pod does not have a min or max line, which is a negative.

The Elf Bar FB1000 pods contain a magnetic connection, allowing them to fit onto the device securely.

Elf Bar FB1000 Performance

The FB1000 has a 1000mAh battery, with a maximum output of 30w and an output voltage of 3.7V, enough power to give off some great clouds and great-tasting e-liquids.

The device only has one Elf Bar mesh coil available: EBC M1 mesh coil, which has a resistance of 0.8ohms. A bit mind-boggling for Elf Bar to only have one resistance available; however, we can expect more EBC coils to become available in the future.

The Elf Bar FB1000 is also compatible with the mighty Voopoo PnP coils, which gives this device a huge advantage over its competitors. As the Fb1000 pod incorporates a push-and-pull system, the PnP coils can easily be used with this device, which balances out the one resistance available in the EBC coils range. Please note that a resistance over 0.6 ohms should be used only.

The 0.8ohm mesh coil is designed best to use with high PG e-liquid and nic salts for a smoother vape. The vapour production and flavour quality from the EBC-M1 coils is on par with other similar electronic cigarettes on the market. This is evidence of Elf Bars' excellent craftsmanship making this a great kit.

The EBC-M1 coil has four wicking holes and must be primed before use. When ready to be used, you'll notice that the e-liquid flavour you receive from this device is absolutely fantastic and is an excellent device if you're looking into sub-ohm vaping.

Elf Bar FB1000 - Ease of Use

Although the Elf Bar FB1000 isn't as easy to use as other Elf vapes such as disposables and pre-filled pod systems, it is one of the easiest refillable open pod systems on the market. Sometimes less is more, and Elf Bar has done it again with their fantastic innovative techniques.

The easy Push and Pull coil system is also compatible with Voopoo's PnP coils. The magnetic connection, which allows for a quick and secure connection to the device and a dual-draw vape, makes this device an attractive purchase.

What's Inside the Box

Elf Bar FB1000 Verdict

The Elf Bar FB1000 pod kit is a great device; however, we do not think this vape kit is intended for a beginner or new vapers but more for an intermediate vaper. Although the FB1000 will help you quit smoking, there are better and easier vapes on the market to initially start your vaping journey, such as disposable vapes or closed pod systems.

The Elf Bar FB1000 doesn't really offer a true MTL vape, as stated, and may not be suited to vapers who are used to other Elf Bar products, which will provide a draw similar to that of a cigarette.

The coils are fantastic and last a good while, too; however, we feel the 2ml pod could do with a bit of work. It is difficult to see how much e-liquid is present inside the pod, and there is no max line to help you determine how much e-liquid you should fill.

The Elf Bar FB1000 has an excellent build quality and produces a huge amount of vapour with gorgeous-tasting e-liquid. The FB1000 is an impressive piece of kit which lasts the whole day. We are glad Elf Bar has produced a kit, which allows you to refill with your own e-liquids, and we feel this vape kit is one of many to come from Elf Bar and is worth a try.
