Do Disposable Vapes Leak?

Disposable vapes are closed pod systems and should not leak. If you're disposable leaks, you may be inhaling too hard or a manufacturing issue.

Disposable vapes are a closed pod system, which means that there are no interchangeable parts. Your disposable vape should not leak; however, there can be instances where e-liquid leaks through the mouthpiece.

Inhaling too hard on your disposable device can cause e-liquid to leak out of the mouthpiece. Try to take smaller inhales.

Faulty Devices.

In some infrequent instances, you may have purchased a faulty disposable vape, and you may have noticed that it has leaked since the moment you took it out of the packaging; this is more than likely due to factory default when being manufactured.

Burnt Coils.

A burnt coil is possibly the most common reason for a disposable vape device leaking. Inside all disposable vapes, a pre-filled 2ml tank of vape juice surrounds a metal coil which, when heated up, causes the liquid to vaporise, creating the vapour you inhale.

After you have been using a disposable vape for several days, your battery life may still have a couple of days left in it. Still, the pre-filled tank could be running very low or even empty of e-liquid, which can cause the cotton surrounding the coil to burn which can result in the cotton not being able to absorb what little juice is left, and this can cause the juice to start leaking from the mouthpiece or in some rare cases, even out the battery compartment of the disposable vape, if this happens, it is recommended to dispose of the vape and replace it with a new one.

Broken Disposable Vapes.

A less common reason why your disposable vape may start to leak is that the disposable vape itself may be broken or cracked. This can happen if a disposable vape has potentially been stood on or sat on, but it is possible that a disposable vape could have broken in transit during the delivery. If you notice that your disposable vape has a crack or a hole in it, then this is more than likely what is causing the device to leak; if you find yourself with a broken disposable vape, it is recommended that you dispose of the device and replace it with a new one.

Storage Issues.

How you store your disposable vaping device is a very common but unknown issue that can cause your disposable vape to start leaking. Suppose your disposable cape is being stored somewhere where it may be too warm. In that case, this could cause the e-liquid inside the pre-filled tank to become extremely runny to the point where the cotton inside can not absorb the liquid anymore, resulting in the juice leaking out of the mouthpiece or leaking through the disposable vape. If you are experiencing this or a similar issue, it is recommended to dispose of the disposable vape and replace it with a new one.
