Can You Take Disposable Vapes On A Plane?

Can You Take Disposable Vapes On A Plane?

E-Cigarettes/vapes must be taken through security, and they can only be stored in your carry-on luggage; they are strictly prohibited in checked (hold) baggage. This applies to both international and domestic flights.

As long as you stick to the general rules about what is and is not permitted to take through security, you should not encounter any difficulties when travelling with your disposable vape. The only issue you may have is when it comes to the e-liquid because you can only take containers/bottles no larger than 100ml on a plane, and some bottles of e-liquid can be a larger volume than this. 120ml and 200ml bottles, for example.

On most occasions, carrying your e-cigarettes or vapes with you onto the plane is completely fine. However, you are advised to check with your airline if uncertain. Using e-cigarettes on a plane is strictly prohibited by any airline.

As far as travelling with e-cigarettes is concerned, there are a number of things to be aware of. Even though these devices are popular in the UK, different countries have very different rules and laws on their importation and use. You are always advised to check the regulations in advance to avoid any problems. For example, importing e-cigarettes or vaping products into Qatar is illegal. In some countries, such as Singapore, e-cigarettes and vapes are prohibited.

Are You Allowed To Take Disposable Vapes On A Plane?

Yes, although certain airlines have different restrictions, it is advised to check directly with the airline.

Travelling with a disposable vape kit has the same restrictions and rules as any other vape kit or device. However, there are many benefits to flying with this disposable type of device. Firstly, disposable e-cigarettes are light and compact, making them much easier to travel. With disposables being a sealed unit, there is no need to separate a tank or battery, meaning you can place the device in your sealed liquids bag inside your hand luggage.

Vaping is strictly forbidden on any commercial airline. Many airlines now have specific instructions within their pre-flight notices that will highlight the vaping restrictions. Although many lower-powered vape devices are available, such as particular pod kits and disposables that produce undetectable vapour, Do not assume vaping these will be allowed as they're still classed as vape devices.

Although e-cigarettes are prohibited on commercial flights, there is an exception regarding Ryanair. This airline allows the use of the smokeless cigarettes they sell on board; however, according to reviews and comments, they are most likely not as good as your current setup, although they will provide you with the nicotine you may be craving whilst flying with Ryanair.

How Many Disposable Vapes Can You Take On A Plane?

Depending on the airline you choose to travel with, the number of disposable vapes you can take on a plane varies. On average, you can take up to 15-20 vapes, but this depends on the airline, so it is recommended to contact the airline and check before.

A vast majority of airlines such as Emirates, Jet2, Qantas, Qatar, and Ryanair will allow you to take up to 20 disposables vape devices on the plane as long as they are sealed and stored in your carry-on luggage.

Other airlines have stricter policies and will not allow as many disposable vape devices on to the plane; for example, British Airways will only allow up to 15 disposable vapes onto an aircraft, and EasyJet's policy states that you can only bring up to two spare batteries on to the plane meaning you can only bring two disposables devices on an aircraft when flying.

As mentioned before, it is highly recommended that you check the rules and regulations with the chosen airline you will be flying with to ensure you do not run into any issues.

Can I Bring A Puff Bar On A Plane?

As puff bars are disposable devices, the same rules apply depending on the airline.

Puff bars are classified as disposable electronic cigarettes, which Transportation Security Administration states are under no circumstances allowed in your checked luggage but are allowed in your carry-on luggage. Therefore, you can bring a puff bar on a plane, just as long as you store it in your carry-on luggage.

Checked Luggage.

As mentioned, Puff Bars are strictly prohibited in your checked luggage. This is because Puff Bars, disposable vapes, and electronic cigarettes, in general, are considered a fire risk, which can lead to catastrophic consequences if anything goes wrong when flying.

Carry-On Luggage.

Suppose you follow the rules and regulations of your chosen airline; Puff Bars are allowed in your carry-on bag, just as long as effective measures are taken to prevent accidental activation of the heating element.

For all types of vape devices, this includes removing the battery from the device if the vape has the option, separating the tank from the battery if possible, placing the vape in a protective case, and lastly, using the safety latch or locking function on the firing button of the device. For disposables, it is advised to travel with them sealed as they were purchased.

Can I Bring A Puff Bar On My Carry-On?

Yes, as long as your Puff Bar is sealed and is safely stored in your carry-on luggage, there should be no issues when going through security.

Make sure that your Puff Bars are stored safely in your carry-on luggage, and ensure that you do not exceed the maximum amount of Puff Bars you are allowed to carry on a flight; you should have no issues with bringing these on your flight. The average limit of Puff Bars you can take on a flight is between 15-20, but please check your airline's policy before packing them in your luggage.

Can You Take An E-Cig In Your Suitcase?

No, you can not; it is strictly prohibited that no e-cigarettes or vaping devices are stored in your suitcase during a flight.

This policy goes for every commercial airline. E-cigarettes are allowed to be taken onto planes but only in your carry-on luggage or when kept on the person, but this depends on the chosen airline, so it is recommended to check before flying.
