Is Nord 4 A Direct Lung Or Mouth To Lung?

When using a coil which is best used in an MTL style of vaping, you will notice that the inhale is quite tight and will require you to suck/inhale on the device the same way you would with a traditional cigarette, and this will not produce large quantities of flavour or cloud production as this style of vaping is ideal when trying to experience that throat hit sensation from the nicotine when vaping.

High-resistance RPM Coils are best suited for a mouth-to-lung vape. We recommend vaping at a wattage lower than 25 watts.

Direct-To-Lung (DTL) Vaping

Direct-to-lung (DTL) vaping is the vaping style that is ideal for anyone who would like to experience intense levels of flavour from their e-liquids as well as be able to produce much thicker and more dense clouds of vapour production.

When using a coil more suitable for the DTL style of vaping, you will notice almost instantly that the inhale/draw on the vape kit is much more open, and it is easier to inhale large clouds of vapour. As well as being able to produce large clouds, you will also notice that the flavour from the e-liquid is more distinct when vaping in a DTL style. Still, the only downside of this is that using e-liquid with high nicotine content with DTL vaping can result in an unpleasant and harsh sensation on the back of the throat, which is not enjoyable.

We recommend using low-resistance coils at a high wattage to experience a great DTL vape.

Pod/Coil Compatibility

The SMOK Nord 4 is compatible with numerous pods attached to the Nord 4 device. SMOK also has a wide variety of different coils that can be inserted into these pods to result in a unique vaping experience with each one. As mentioned above, it is possible to achieve MTL and DTL vaping styles with the SMOK Nord 4, depending on which coil you have chosen to insert into the device.
