What Is In Nicotine Free Juice?
Propylene Glycol, Vegetable Glycerin and food-grade flavourings are the key ingredients in nicotine-free juice.
Nicotine-free vape juice tastes the same as nicotine eliquid. Nicotine-free e-liquid is available in all shortfill bottles over 10ml. It is illegal for a bottle bigger than 10ml to contain any nicotine.
Nicotine-free vaping is relatively common, especially among vapers who want to quit nicotine intake altogether. Nicotine is a highly addictive chemical. However, vapes allow you to reduce nicotine content to come off nicotine gradually. Cigarette smoking is known to be 95% more harmful than electronic cigarettes due to toxic chemicals such as tar and carbon monoxide.
Three key ingredients are in nicotine-free e-juice:
Propylene Glycol (PG)
Propylene glycol is widely used and is commonly found in packaged foods, medications such as asthma inhalers, hygiene and cosmetic products. Propylene glycol is an odourless liquid with a sweet taste and acts as a thickening agent in vape juice.
A high concentration of PG is found in nicotine salts and freebase nicotine e-liquid and is commonly used in low-wattage devices for mouth-to-lung vaping.
Vegetable Glycerin (VG)
Vegetable Glycerin is a common colourless liquid that is used as a thickening agent. It is sweet-tasting and is found in many industries, such as food, pharmaceuticals, beauty and medical industry. High VG ratio e-liquid is commonly used by direct-to-lung vapers and produces enormous clouds and great-tasting vape juice.
Flavouring
The flavourings used in vape juice are food-grade flavourings. There are thousands of flavourings used to create the deliciously flavoured e-liquids you see in stores. These include flavours such as Bubblegum, Cherry Raspberry, Watermelon and Strawberries.
Is Vape Juice Without Nicotine Better?
Vape Juice without nicotine is better in the long run as it does not contain nicotine, a highly addictive substance.
Nicotine-free vapes are also smoother, which won't result in a sharp throat hit, or any feeling of dizziness after vaping a high nicotine-strength e-liquid.
You are spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing nicotine-free e-liquids. All bottles over 10ml are 0mg (nicotine-free) due to TPD regulations, so you will never run out of options.
If you want to vape nicotine-free e-liquid, but you want an e-liquid that gives you a similar cessation to a vape juice with nicotine, then it may be best to choose Minty, Menthol or Ice-cool flavours. The intense cool feeling these e-liquids provide can closely match a throat hit from nicotine. If you're not a fan of these flavours, we recommend Citrus flavours such as Grapefruit and Lemon or Spicy flavours such as Aniseed and Cinnamon.
If you want to vape nicotine-free e-liquids for a sweet taste and thick clouds, then we recommend a high VG e-liquid such as 70/30; however, if you want a more noticeable throat hit, then a 50/50 VG/PG ratio is the way to go.
