How Can I Make My Vape Liquid Last Longer?

Published 3 August 2022

How Can I Make My Vape Liquid Last Longer?

There are several ways you can make your e-liquid last longer:

  1. Use a lower wattage
  2. Try a higher resistance coil
  3. Upping your nicotine strength
  4. Use a 50/50 VGPG nic-salt
  5. Up your PG percentage

If you have a device where you can alter the power flowing through your coil, then that is worthwhile lowering the wattage to the lower range of the spectrum, which is ideal for the type of vape liquid you are using. For example, some 80/20 VGPG vape juice is best vaped at 70 - 80W.

This does not mean that it will not be able to be vapourised at 65W; you will probably get less vapour production than when vaped at higher power.

One of the best ways to make your vape juice last longer is to stop using high-powered devices and opt for a lower-powered pod device system. This equipment overhaul will probably require you to switch to vape juice too. For example, if you enjoy low nicotine in thick vape juice, e.g. 3mg in a 7030 VGPG ratio, it will probably be too viscous to be vapourised properly in a lower-powered device.

That being said, there are hundreds of options regarding VGPG ratios and nicotine concentrations; it just may take some trial and error to find something you will like.

Increasing the nicotine strength is a good way of ensuring that your vape juice lasts longer. The theory is that you will need fewer puffs to obtain the same nicotine hit you would get at a low nicotine concentration.

How Long Does 2ml Of E-liquid Last?

For a heavy vaper, expect 2ml of e-liquid to last about a day. A moderate vaper can expect 2ml of e-liquid to last up to 2-3 days, and a light vaper would expect 2ml to last 5-7 days. Depending on how much you vape, this can vary from a few hours to a few days. These time estimates are based on 20mg nicotine salt, But should you choose to vape at a lower nicotine concentration, expect these to change.

Several factors will affect how much 2ml of vape juice will last. This list is by no means exhaustive, and one should remember that a vaper's habits will differ from person to person:

  • Nicotine concentration
  • Type of device used
  • Type of nicotine (salt or freebase)
  • Vaper habits

Should you not be vaping a nicotine contraction suitable for you, you may be vaping too much to obtain that nicotine satisfaction you are craving. We recommend using our cigarette-to-nicotine converter tool to help you find the correct nicotine concentration and type of juice that will work for you.

The device you use will play a big role in the time your e-liquid will last. High-powered devices usually mean that your vape juice won't last as long as you use a low-powered device.

Take into careful consideration the type of device you want. If you prefer a lot of vapour production, you will want a more powerful device.

A low-powered device will be sufficient if you compromise on vapour production for a compact device that provides a good nicotine hit.

The type of nicotine used in the e-liquid you vape may help determine just how long your e-liquid lasts. Nicotine salts are absorbed into the bloodstream quicker than their freebase counterparts.

This means it will reach your brain's nicotine receptors quicker than freebase nicotine. This may help satisfy the craving faster. Therefore you use less e-juice.

Lastly, a vaper's habits are very different from person to person. We recommend treating them like cigarettes and only vaping when you usually smoke a cigarette.
